From 1884 on, Josef Fidel received numerous awards from the Baden Wine-growers' Association for producing outstanding wines.Slowly but surely the following  generations continued to expand the family's holding in the Winklerberg.The wine estate was both a weekend home and the source of wines for the extensive wine list at the station's restaurants.
